FuboTV App for Smart TV – In BETA for Samsung but Not Other TVs
At the time of this FuboTV app for smart TV posting, only Samsung is in BETA (undergoing testing). Other smart TV brands and models are said to be made compatible in the near future. This means if you were looking for the FuboTV LG TV app or an app for a different smart TV brand, you are out of luck. At least for now. As for the FuboTV on Samsung smart TV, not all models and years are compatible.
UPDATE: The FuboTV app can now be found inside the LG smart TV w/ internal app store. Just do a FuboTV app search inside your LG smart TV app store and click Install. However, this app was not found inside my Samsung smart TV. As for the latter, you will need to connect a compatible device such as the Amazon Firestick to your Samsung or HDTV. Then search and install the Fubo app.

I found out my Samsung smart TV was not compatible when going inside my smart TV app store. I couldn’t find the Fubo TV app. When visiting the Fubo website and clicking the Help Center link, you can find information about compatible devices and Samsung TVs. They tell you that Samsung 2017, 2018, and 2019 with model numbers that are compatible.
As a result, I could not demonstrate the download/installation of the app in the video above. However, I do show where to find information about compatible devices that can be used. And where to find steps to search and download/install the Fubo TV smart TV app. You may already know how to find apps in your internal smart TV app store and how to download/install.
What’s Missing in the App?
If you can find the app, you’re one of the lucky ones. However, it has been stated that some features are missing and user experience may vary. Presently, the app brings live TV only. VOD and DVR will come later. Inside the Help Center, you can search by typing… samsung smart tv … to find an article called, “Can I watch fuboTV on my Samsung Smart TV?” You will find all the information you need to know as a Samsung user.
All the Model numbers are listed and tell you how to find your TV’s model number. The quickest way to see whether or not you have the FuboTV app for smart TV [Samsung] is going inside your smart TV to search for the Fubo TV app. In the video above, I demonstrated how I tried to find the app but there was no app for my model and year.
What to Do if No FuboTV app for Smart TV?
Purchase and connect the Amazon Firestick to your smart TV or HDTV. You can buy one Firestick for each household TV so that each household member can watch something different. It doesn’t matter what smart TV brand, year, or model number that you have. If your TV has a working HDMI port, then you are good to go. Learn More Here. There are other streaming media devices that you can use such as Roku, Chromecast, NVIDIA, and so on. But you are not left out in the cold because your smart TV isn’t compatible. There are more ways to skin a cat if you can’t find the FuboTV app for Samsung TV or your brand.
When you search for the article that I told about above and how to find it, you will find step-by-step instructions. See ‘How do I Install the fuboTV app on my Samsung Smart TV? Below are the steps which isn’t applicable to how I find apps inside my smart app store:
- Go to the Home screen on your smart TV.
- Select the magnifying glass icon on left side of the navigation bar to search for fuboTV.
- Once the app is located, select Install to download the app on your TV.
- Once the download is completed, select Open to launch the fuboTV app then sign in to start watching.
Number of Devices Can Be Used
The Fubo Standard package allows you to connect up to 2 devices at one time. The Family package allows you to connect up to 3 devices at one time. Determine the number of devices that you want to use. If you have more than one compatible Samsung smart TVs, install the FuboTV Samsung TV app to each one.
As for other smart TV brands in your household, you can install the Fubo TV smart TV app to each Firestick when connected to each smart TV. I’m sure all of us look forward to the day when there’s a FuboTV on Samsung Smart TV app for more brands, models, and years. Fubo is constantly adding more content. What was once great for mostly sports fans now includes streaming content for non-sports fans. This OTT service is a nice alternative to cable and satellite that keeps improving.
