This section covers SOPlayer Streaming Services that support the IPTV SO Player App, including UI, Performance, Features, Reliability, Service, and IP Lock System. It then introduces two IPTV streaming services supporting three TV Player Apps that also include SO Play. Three apps in one streaming service means more device compatibility.
Be aware that some of these streaming services use the SO Player brand name to attract unknowing individuals to their websites. For instance, one of them has on their website, “Try the Best SOPlayer IPTV Experience.”

They have soplayeriptv.shop in the URL. This is not the SOPlay application you will be getting. They support other TV Players instead, so don’t allow yourself to be sent down a rabbit hole. Anytime a service says you can use a VPN, this is a sign that a different application is used.
SO Player Update
This application has been removed from the Google Play Store, which means it can’t be installed on Android devices. During 2024, SOPlay was removed from the Apple App Store and could no longer be downloaded to iOS/Apple devices. That being the case, there is a workaround when going with Streaming TV/VOD services that support SOPlayer and two other very similar applications.
If you already have SOPlay installed on your device, good for you. As for newcomers, they must use Android-based devices such as Firestick, Fire TV, Fire Cube, or NVIDIA Shield. SO Player must be sideloaded to those devices after installing the Downloader App. If not, XPlay or Nora GO can be installed on Android and iOS/Apple devices, including XPlay for Roku.
Nora GO can be installed on Windows and macOS computers. See Recommended Services further down.
IP Lock Streaming Services
When SO Player connects to the SOPlayer Streaming Service, it uses an IP Lock system. It’s the same thing with other applications, such as XPlay and Nora GO. What this means is the user cannot change his/her IP address once locked in during activation.
This restricts users from taking his/her portable device with SOPlay installed to another location outside the primary residence or IP address. In turn, the user can’t connect SO Player to the streaming service to watch TV online when using another Internet service with a different IP address.
However, the user can use one mobile device (smartphone) while traveling when connecting to a WiFi area. No IP Locked Streaming Services are the opposite and offer individuals a lot more.
SOPlayer Streaming Services Review: Great If Not Asking for Much
If you are not high on having the most channels, countries, and features, but having many, if not all of your favorites, then a SO Player Streaming Service should be satisfactory. If exploring alternatives to paid television and VOD subscriptions, SOPlayer paired with a top streaming service can be ideal.
Just keep in mind the SOPlayer itself doesn’t deliver any streaming TV/VOD content once it’s installed on a compatible device. Instead, it’s a powerful media player used as a 3rd-party app that a streaming service supports.
What the Service Delivers
The streaming service, whether it supports SO Player or other applications, delivers all the streaming content. They tell you what TV Player App to install that’s supported. With that comes the payment processing and support provider afterward, including service renewals.
Never install an application without first knowing who supports it to get the activation/login credentials and support. Generally, streaming TV/VOD services use a 3rd-party application like SOPlay. Everything starts and ends with the streaming service, not the application.
Sometimes there are free trials and more than one subscription plan to choose from. If new to these services, it’s best to enter into the trial to test first. If something goes wrong, such as channels not working, the user must contact support.
Besides US channels delivering premium and local channels to watch movies, sports, shows, news, and so on, other countries are included, such as Canada, Spanish, and Italian channels.
User Interface and Experience
The application is sleek, easy to use, and minimal without many feature enhancements. Whether using an Android TV, macOS, or Firestick 4K, the UI (User Interface) is consistent and very easy to navigate. Categories such as Live Channels, VOD Movies, VOD TV Series, and EPG (Electronic Program Guide) are very well organized. It streamlines the process for users to find their favorite channels, shows, sports, and so on with less effort.
Performance
When paired with a top Streaming Service, SOPlayer gives users a smooth playback with little to no buffering if the user has an adequate Internet connection speed. While these services suggest having 20 or 30 Mbps, it’s recommended to have 100 Mbps or higher. You must factor in two or more device connections at the same time if this is the case.
Also, you must factor in other household members using the same Internet service, and when more people are online over the weekends, evenings, and holidays, using the same ISP (Internet Service Provider) as you.
Limited Features Enhancements
One of the downsides to using a SOPlayer Streaming Service is the features. You get the following:
- Add to Favorites: This may or may not include live channels, but VOD movies/TV series can always be added to favorites
- Last Watched Technology: The application remembers what the user watched last, which can be retrieved quickly later on.
- Screen Display: Preview and Full Screen are available
- Mult-Device Support: Allows connecting 2 or more streaming devices simultaneously
- Catch-Up TV: Sometimes streaming services deliver Catch-Up TV content, whereby the service records shows from popular TV networks periodically
- EPG (Electronic Program Guide): Provides users with many different live channel categories. For example, select the sports category to load the TV guide with only those channels
Are All SO Player Streaming Services the Same?
Yes and no. It depends on the individuals running the service behind the scenes. The technology, setup, and content delivery are all basically the same. But it also comes down to reliability and customer support, which can differ.
When SOPlayer is installed on a compatible device, the user can use any SOPlayer streaming service of their choosing. They can also switch from one service to another if need be, which is good to have more than one service. Subscribe to one and save the other for later if needed.
Generally, SO Player Streaming Services have a quota of subscribers they are allowed to have. Once that quota has been met, they close the doors to new customers wanting to subscribe. When seeing a one-page website that allows only current subscribers to renew, this is a clear indicator that the service has reached its maximum number of subscribers.
Reliability & Customer Service / Support
The user shouldn’t have to wait for support (when notified) beyond 1-2 hours during waking hours, and no longer than 12 hours. Most SOPlayer Streaming Services have a chat box with a live agent waiting in the wings to answer questions and provide support. It’s recommended to contact support with pre-sale questions, and this will also test their response time.
Reliability or uptime depends on the streaming service, which should be very high. Support should include 24/7 service when needed. It’s important to do your due diligence to research the streaming service thoroughly. However, we’ve already done that by testing and reviewing the streaming services recommended further down.

Recommended 3 Applications in 1 Streaming Service
The streaming services you are about to discover cover everything as written above. These top Streaming TV/VOD Services that support SO Player, Nora GO, and XPlay.
Why three applications and not just one? Because with these services, you get more device compatibility. Should one application get removed from the Google or Apple App Store, you can use one of the others.
To explain further, SO Player can no longer be downloaded to any iOS/Apple device. Nora GO and SOPlay are not compatible with Roku, but XPlay is compatible. All three applications are compatible with the same devices, with some exceptions as previously explained.
You can read the full review or watch the video review of these streaming services. You can call them Nora GO, XPlay, or SOPlayer Streaming Services.

Final Thoughts
It’s important to know that SOPlayer Streaming Services are also called SO Player IPTV Services. There can be 100s, if not 1000s, of live channels and 1000s of VOD movies/TV series. You are bound to come across some non-working channels, but you can always contact support to see if they can fix those channels if interested.
Generally, these services don’t have consistent buffering or poor streaming performance. If you encounter anything like that, more than likely, the issue is on your end. For the best streaming performance, you should have a 100 Mbps download speed, if not more. Make sure the compatible device being used is up to date, and best to use the latest version.
Firestick, Fire TV, or Fire Cube devices require the 4K or 4K Max versions. Using older devices can cause crashes, freezing, and poor performance overall. Always check your Spam or Junk mail folder. Generally, SOPlayer Streaming Streaming including other types of service, sends multiple emails immediately during or after registration.
Although SOPlay can be found in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, two other applications can be downloaded. The recommended services further up allow more compatible devices.
