I just discovered a scam website but not in the sense they are the scam–or maybe they are. They labeled CracklePop TV a scam right after officially launching in July 2024. I’ve been a product reviewer for years. It’s a crying shame how someone can put up a website and label a service or product a scam based on their metrics.
According to their metrics, they claimed CracklePop TV is in the ‘Home Improvement’ industry. Of course, you know when reading the information in this review or if you already visited the website that this has nothing to do with ‘Home Improvement’. It’s in the TV/VOD entertainment industry.
I’m sure many individuals will see that website on the 1st page of Google when searching for the CracklePop TV website. I’ll save you some time. Furthermore…
I conducted a physical test review of this IPTV service and IPTV app, paid my money, and found nothing wrong or anything indicating it’s a scam. I went through the low-cost trial. Channel/VOD Delivery, Streaming Performance & Interfacing
Diving deeper into the test review of CracklePop TV, we took a close look at the technology which includes the delivery of the streaming content, performance, and user-friendliness. As a result, here is what we discovered:
TV Channel/VOD Delivery
After entering into the 24-hour low-cost trial, we decided to do a more extensive review for one month. During that time, we played many live TV channels and VOD movies/TV series. Most channels that we tested played and streamed quickly and smoothly.
Of course, it takes on-demand movies and TV series just a tad longer which is to be expected. There’s no perfect IPTV service out there which includes CracklePop TV. You are bound to come across some non-working channels, even some buffering from certain channels.
The vast majority of live and on-demand streams played but there were several we tested that didn’t work at the time.
Tips for Non-Working Channels/VODs
When you come across a non-working channel or VOD, play a working channel or VOD, then go back to the one that was non-working and see if it will play. Sometimes this works.
You can also manually update each of the Live TV, Movies, and Series categories on the Home screen inside the TV player. Many times the IPTV service will update the content on their servers which will automatically update the TV player. You will see the update automatically taking place when opening the TV player the next time.
If you still can’t get the non-working channel of VOD working, you can either wait for the next update or contact support. Simply go to the Client Area to log in and open a new ticket.
Streaming Performance
First and foremost, you must have your end correct to enjoy the best streaming performance. Here’s what you need:
Internet Connection (Download) Speed: Have at least 30 Mbps download speed but 60 Mbps would be better. However, I suggest having 100 Mbps if not more–especially when wanting to connect more than one streaming device.
Having more or faster speed helps during weekends, special TV events, and holidays when more people are at home.
You should be using a new or fairly new compatible streaming device. Keep the files updated–check for updates. For streaming devices such as the Firestick, try to use the latest version. We used both the Firestick 4K and Firestick 4K Max connected to our Samsung Smart TV and LG Smart TV to conduct the test.
Live Channel/VOD Buffering
Like all the other IPTV services, you are bound to come across some poor streaming channels and/or a VOD movie/TV series episode. All these types of services tell you if the stream is poor at the origin there’s usually nothing they can do about it.
You can always contact support if a favorite channel or video is buffering consistently. Just provide the category >> sub-category, and the name of the channel, VOD movie/TV series episode. See if they can fix it and wait for the next update inside the TV player.
You can also head over to YouTube to find a video on how to resolve IPTV buffering. You might want to dive deeper when including the name of your device.
TV Player Interfacing
Most individuals new to these types of streaming TV/VOD services with an IPTV app are not aware of everything inside. We had no problem navigating through the CracklePop TV Smarters or IPTV Smarters Pro and Lite apps. You can find what you’re looking for quickly and can use the search tool to find something specific.
You need to learn how to Add channels and VODs to favorites and where to look for them once they have been saved. Look for a video tutorial on this in the Client Area under Knowledgebase.
For the Firestick, you can play a live channel that appears inside the preview screen. Then press/hold the button inside the ring on the remote. This will open a small popup window that allows you to select ‘Add to Favorites’. See features below…

EPG (Electronic Programming Guide)
The EPG is a programmable TV guide that allows you to select any EPG Category with live channels. For instance, you can select USA | General and this will load only those channels in the TV guide. You can see the list of network/channel names and program descriptions in their timeslots.
Choose another EPG Category and allow those channels to load the TV guide. Play any channel you want in the guide. We tested/played many channels and liked the overall results.
Getting Setup
The first thing you need to do is read everything on the CracklePop TV website. This includes the FAQs section which provides a lot of important information.
They recommend you install the TV player app/apk before paying for the low-cost trial or subscription, and rightfully so. You want to make sure there’s no TV player installation issue on the compatible device you’re going to use. If no issue, they want you to enter into the trial to test everything.

Registration, Low-Cost Trial, Subscription, Refund
When on the CracklePop TV website and scrolling down to the trial and subscription packages, there are two video tutorial links for each package. I highly recommend after choosing the package that interests you, watch that video tutorial first. Just click the link. This way you’ll know and see the process to help to be better prepared.
Registration – Login Details
You will be asked first to enter a Username and Password. We suggest entering something easy to remember but make sure to write both down. These will be the login details for the TV player app. When on the Checkout page, you are also asked to enter your email address and create a password.
These will be your login details for the Client Area where your account info is located. Be sure to write down these login details as well. Save both login details and remember where you put them. The video tutorials will show you everything.
Bouquets Feature
During the registration process, you will come across Bouquets. Just click/select the button to open and a popup window will appear. You must ‘Select All’ to checkmark each box representing a country or category of channels/vods.
Next, de-select or uncheck the box(es) with the content you don’t want to watch or add to the playlist-TV player. We liked this feature as it allows you to narrow down the content that interests you the most while removing what you don’t want.
But whatever CracklePop TV subscription package you choose you will get all of that content minus what you don’t want in the Bouquets.
5 Emails From CracklePop
Expect to receive 5 emails from CracklePop TV immediately after paying for the low-cost trial or subscription. If you find one or more emails missing or don’t see any, check your Junk or Spam folder. Any important emails you find there, simply drag/drop them into your regular email inbox.
The last email will be titled, ‘CracklePopTV – Your IPTV Service Info’ and is the most important email. It will have your login details to use any TV player or VOD app you want to install, or for the Web TV Player. You will find a lot of info in that email so make sure you read everything to follow through.

There is no refund for the low-cost trial unless there is an issue on the CracklePop TV service end that prevents you from using the trial.
After subscribing to the service to pay for the subscription, the 7-day refund period begins. You have until 7 days from the purchase date to request a refund. After that time, no refund will be granted unless there is an issue on the CracklePop end that can’t be fixed in 72 hours.

There is no honest review without stating the pros and cons. No service or product created by humans is perfect. Knowing the downsides can help you decide if this streaming TV/VOD service is right for you.
PROS
A written review can only go so far in giving you important information to help determine whether or not to take the next step and pay. You’ve read everything the service and TV app provides in this review. It delivers the TV channels, movies, news, sports, and TV shows/series that most individuals want. But you also read about the extra stuff they deliver too.
Sports fans and fanatics get enough sports to feast their eyes on. Movie and TV series lovers get the seasons and episodes. You see the number of channels and VODs from the package we’ve chosen which is a lot. There’s entertainment for the entire family including kids’ shows/animation.
The EPG certainly enhances one’s TV viewing including the multi-screen. Being able to channels/VODs Add to Favorites channels keeps everything nicely tucked away for quick, easy access. CracklePop TV provides enough video tutorials to help you every step of the way, to get set up and reach the finish line.
CONS
Common to all IPTV services, some channels don’t work but some ways might get them to work as I have explained above. If not, there’s always the option to contact support. Buffering will show its ugly head for certain channels and VOD. But this doesn’t occur on most of the streaming content. You can always go back to the non-working channel/VOD to play late. If that doesn’t help, reach out to support.
Also typical to all these services are the US local channels. You don’t get all of them, not even most of them. It’s best to use/buy an indoor HDTV antenna to connect to the back of your TV. Run a local OTA channel scan to get all your local channels. You should get an antenna with a 100, 200, or more mile radius.
The Bouquets feature wasn’t working correctly during our test. We contacted support who told us it was recently fixed in July 2024. So hopefully you won’t have any issue removing content you don’t want.
Multi-Screen runs a little sluggish after loading it with 4 different live channels. Eventually, it closed the TV player down. Our English Countries TV package includes only 2 device connections so I don’t know for sure if that had anything to do with it. But when loading the multi-screen with only 2 channels, it worked perfectly.
Conclusion
The price of admission starting at $15 per month gives you access to a plethora of live and on-demand content, making the CracklePop TV service worthwhile. When it includes many of your favorites and then some, you don’t lose when switching from traditional TV to Internet TV. Whether this is for you or family and friends, no doubt everyone will be entertained.
You get three VOD bonuses to add to your all-in-one streaming TV/VOD entertainment. Even more streaming content which means you’ll have more of your favorite than you hoped for.
