Whatever the reason you’re searching for a SOPlayer Alternative or Apps like SOPlayer, your search may very well end here. I’m going to reveal not only a great app alternative but a great IPTV service where you can use one of two apps.
The app that comes close to giving you the same functions and setup as SO Player is the Nora Go, XPlay, and LUX Player app. The IPTV service that supports this app allows you to use the Nora Go app for smart TVs (Samsung & LG). You get the same type of activation/login details such as Device PIN codes, Provider ID, and Username/Password.
SO player change provider: If you want to keep using the app but just want to change providers, you can visit our IPTV Service Comparison Chart HERE. The names of apps are included. Just find an IPTV service that uses SOPlayer.
Additional Info…
As far as the streaming content goes, it’s very similar to what SO Player IPTVs deliver. You are not going to notice anything different. ISG GO app was said to be a NoraGo app upgrade. If you have the SO Player app installed on your device, you need to uninstall it to install ISG GO on the same device.
This can be the ideal SOPlayer alternative for you. Of course, other IPTVs out there use different apps. You can explore those IPTVs by clicking the link below. But if you want to investigate an ISG GO IPTV service, just click the link directly below.
UPDATE:
We made some changes to this article post due to some of the alternative IPTV services no longer being available. The video above was not updated but if you go to the links below, you will find the alternatives very similar to SO Player.
SO Player is no longer compatible with iOS/Apple devices. The app was removed from the Apple Play Store for reasons unknown.
The two Nora Go and Xplay IPTV Services below are very similar to SO Player IPTV services, and the same for LUX Player IPTVs. The only difference is the app name. All the apps are compatible with the same streaming devices. But XPlay and LUX Player are also compatible with Roku.

Connecting HDTV Indoor Antenna for Local TV Offline
You will be taken to the SO Player alternative app IPTV service website that supports the ISG GO app. If you decide to sign up and subscribe, expect emails to come your way immediately. If not emails, then you want to look inside your Junk/Spam folder for them. If any are there, just move them to your regular email inbox.
You can use the Nora Go, Xplay, or LUX Player app for the smart TV (Samsung, LG). I recommend using the Amazon Firestick as your go-to device. It works great with all IPTV services. You can connect one to each HDTV or smart TV in your place of residence or business.
NOTE: When clicking the third link above, you will be taken to our Top 10 IPTV Comparison Chart. Just scroll down when you get there to find the chart. You will also see what TV app the IPTV service is using.
More Information on TV Player Apps
Just like SO Player, the LUX Player, Nora Go, and XPlay apps connect to the IPTV servers whereas the app is activated by the IPTV provider who also delivers all the streaming content.
The app is not a standalone app. Therefore the SOPlay app is not any streaming TV service. It’s just a free app download that requires an IPTV subscription to watch your favorites online. Hopefully, I have clarified things going forward.
The aforementioned TV player apps are compatible with the following devices:
- Smart TVs (Samsung, LG), or Smart TV w/ built-in app store that you can find and install the app
- Firestick, or Fire TV
- NVIDIA Shield
- Computers (Windows, Mac) if found in the Play Store or use GameLoop, Bluestacks
- Android Devices (TV, Box, Phone)
- iOS/Apple Devices (TV, iPad, iPhone)
- Roku (Xplay & LUX Player apps only)
SOPlayer Alternative Firestick (Apps Like SO Player for Firestick)
When it comes to finding a SOPlayer alternative Firestick setup or apps like SO Player for Firestick, again I must point out to you the IPTV Comparison Chart. There you can quickly compare IPTVs side-by-side to see subscription prices, features, apps used, compatible devices, and the list goes on.
Either I use my Firestick connected to my LG and Samsung smart TV or TV app directly installed from my smart TV internal app store. If you were having issues trying to get the SOPlay app installed or working correctly on your device, then you should try any one of the IPTV services with the links provided above.
Performance
SOPlayer Alternative. Let’s be clear… Individuals who have issues using SO Player generally relate to performance. They blame the app and even search online to find the developer or think the app is a streaming TV service. They are wrong in their thinking but you shouldn’t be. You always start and end with the IPTV service and contact them for support, regardless.
The main thing to consider when watching TV online is your Internet connection speed. I recommend having at least 30 Mbps. IPTV services and streaming TV services may be recommended less. I also recommend that you speed test your streaming device to see how much Internet connection speed you are working with.
Internet Connection
Look at the download speed in Mbps. If it’s below 30 Mbps and you are having consistent buffering and playback issues with the app on your device, then you need to consider doing the following:
You might want to try a different compatible device to see if the same issue occurs. Either that or contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) such as Comcast or whatever ISP you’re currently dealing with and have them increase your Internet connection. speed. This will, however, come as an additional cost.
Something else that you may want to look at is the WiFi (wireless) connection vs the Ethernet Cable (wired) connection.
Additional Info…
A bit of advice: If you have the Fire TV/Firestick or different compatible streaming media device connected to your smart TV or HDTV which is your primary way of watching TV online, then you ought to be using a wired connection.
For instance, you can purchase an Ethernet adapter for the Firestick as I did, or another streaming media device. A wired connection is usually faster than a wireless connection. This can make a world of difference and may be the reason why you are looking for a SOPlayer alternative or apps like SOPlayer.
Closing Remarks
It doesn’t matter which IPTV service provider you elect to register with to get the subscription and activation. They deliver the same streaming TV/VOD content pretty much, maybe a slight difference. You get the same functionality from each app more or less.
These are some of the best SO Player alternatives today and I suggest putting all of them in your basket. Someday you may want to switch IPTVs and should that time come, just pull one of those IPTVs out of your basket and register. You will get a new set of activation/login credentials.
