But before I break both types of IPTVs down to you, I want to ensure that you understand an IPTV service. Then we get to how to find the best one for you. If you already paid an IPTV subscription or entered a trial, you should still read on to learn what you didn’t know before. What Is An IPTV Service?

I am not going to make this technical. IPTV services and streaming TV services can be the same in definition but not quite the same. An IPTV service has fewer restrictions. For instance, any person no matter where they live in the world can get access to the same streaming content.

They can watch the same streaming content if their ISP (Internet Service Provider) doesn’t block them. As for the latter, this is where a VPN service comes in handy. But you can’t use a VPN service with any IPTV service. I’ll cover this further later on.

All you need is a high-speed Internet connection, a compatible streaming device, a TV app, and an IPTV subscription.

No antenna is needed unless you want to purchase one to connect to the back of your TV. You can scan for all your local channels in your area. And you can do this without having cable or satellite TV. You can learn more about the antenna HERE.

You don’t need to install any hardware such receiver, set-top box, etc. This makes getting set up easier and less time-consuming. However, you will be required to download/install a TV app.

Additional Information…

The all-in-one IPTV service delivers all sorts of TV entertainment. You get access to 100s if not 1000s of live channels (premium, popular TV networks, global, some local & regional). But it depends on which IPTV service you choose. Not all of them are created equally which is good.

You can watch live channels for sports, movies, documentaries, news, kids’ channels, etc. All IPTV services generally include PPV, a live sports package with seasonal sports. Some include 24/7 TV shows, religious channels, music/radio, and the list goes on.

Then you get access to 1000s of VOD movies and TV series. Some IPTVs include sports replays such as NFL and boxing. You don’t get all of this entertainment under one roof from other types of streaming TV services.

Comparing IP Lock IPTV Service to No IP Lock IPTV Service

As I stated before, you need to know the difference between both types of IPTVs. Once you know them and can identify them, then you can move on to find out what else is included. You will be looking at compatible devices, streaming content delivered, features, subscription plans/prices, etc.

Two Types of IPTV Services

IP Lock IPTV Service

If you are not interested in watching TV online outside of your place of residence, then an IP Lock IPTV should work best for you. You are prohibited from changing your IP address. Trying to do can get you locked out.

This means you cannot share your IPTV service account with someone with a different IP address or household. You can’t go someplace else with a different IP service and expect to watch TV online. Once the TV app and IPTV service are locked into your IP address, that’s it. You can only use one IP address. You cannot use a VPN service because this will change your IP address.

Lastly, you can connect one smartphone to the IPTV when traveling away from your place of residence. You can connect to different WiFi areas without getting locked out. Choose an IP Lock IPTV if you are goind to do most of your Internet TV watching at your place of residence.

No IP IPTV Service

With this type of IPTV service, you have fewer restrictions. You can change your IP address and therefore use a VPN service if you want to change/hide your IP address. Although using a VPN service is optional, the best VPN for IPTVs that I use can be found HERE. Sometimes a VPN service can improve your streaming performance.

There can be times when your ISP will throttle your Internet connection and this is what a VPN can resolve. Learn More Here. Another benefit to using a No IP Lock IPTV is that you can connect any compatible streaming device to the IPTV service when traveling. You are not restricted to using only one smartphone when traveling.
