Jamzone TV Review by Real User/Tester also includes downsides that other Jamzone SOPlayer reviews leave out. You get inside information in both a written and video review. The video tutorial takes you further inside to see everything. We’ll explore how this Jamzone IPTV service makes it easy for newcomers to watch TV online and how it may benefit you.
UPDATE:
Jamzone IPTV is no more. You must now go to the Icon of the Streams website to subscribe or renew your SO Player TV subscription. Click any link below. The new service also supports the XPlay and Nora Go apps which means more device compatibility.
The message on their website is telling you they moved to a new provider which is Icon Streams – Click Here to Subscribe or Renew.
All three apps are compatible with the same streaming devices pretty much but XPlay is compatible with Roku also. Nora Go is compatible but not working on Roku. SO Player can no longer be downloaded from the Apple app store.
———–
But know that it has an IP lock system which means you cannot change your IP address or use a VPN service once the app is installed and activated.
If you are looking to save money without losing what you love most when it comes to TV, then you may want to continue reading. You get everything under one roof such as live channels (premium, US locals, some global, sports, movies, news, kids, etc.) including VOD Movies/TV series.
What is Jamzone TV
Jamzone brings together a one-source for all streaming TV and VOD platforms. There’s no need to go else to watch your favorites online. You get access to 1000s of on-demand TV series and movies that also include new releases. If you never watched TV online or are new to IPTV services, the setup isn’t hard. Anyone worldwide can use this service and watch the same streaming content available.
There is no hardware to connect or install such as an antenna, receiver, or set-top box. You only need what is required which I have outlined below. Anyone from all walks of life can use this IPTV service no matter where they live in the world.
In my review of Jamzone TV, I tested the SO Player app connected to the IPTV service servers. You will also find video reviews that allow you to see everything with your own eyes. But I must tell you there are both pros and cons of using this service to watch your favorites online. I cover both further down this Jamzone IPTV review.

NOTE: The SO Play app cannot be downloaded to any Apple/iOS devices anymore. See LUX Player IPTVs that those devices–see below…
Similar IPTV Services Supporting LUX Player App and Similar to Jamzone SOPlayer…
LUX Player is compatible with Roku, Apple/iOS, and other devices. You get the Device Pin Codes, Username, and Password. There is no Provider ID, at least not when we tested it.
Apple/iOS/Roku Devices are also Supported…
What is Required
There are 3 things needed to get fully set up with this IPTV service to watch live and on-demand streams:
1. High-Speed Internet. Many IPTVs say less but I say have at least 60 Mbps per second. However, to stream SD, HD, FHD, 4K, and 8K, I suggest having 100 Mbps or more download speed. The faster your Internet connection speeds the better the streaming performance. This should be your major investment.
You need to know how much speed your compatible device is getting. So you should run a speed test to find out how much Mbps you are getting from your ISP (Internet Service Provider) such as Comcast. You can sign up to get the Free IPTV Setup Guide Here to learn more.
2. Compatible Smart TV & Streaming Device. You can review the list further down this Jamzone TV review.
3. SO Player IPTV Service Subscription. SO Player is a free app download and doesn’t deliver any streaming content by itself. You need an IPTV subscription to activate the app to receive all the streaming content to watch online. You can click the link at the top or any link below to visit the Jamzone SOPlayer IPTV service website and subscribe.
Compatible Devices
You must know what compatible devices can be used so I provided a list below:
- Computers (Mac & Windows)
- Amazon Devices (Firestick & Fire TV)
- iOS Devices (iPad & iPhone) ** No Longer Supported
- Android Devices (TV, Box & Phone)
- NVIDIA Shield
- Apple TV ** No Longer Supported
- LG Smart TV w/ Internal App Store
When last checked, my Samsung TV app store did not have the SO Player app to download. In the past, that app was there. I don’t know if it will show up again in the future. But if you want to use a Samsung smart TV, I recommend purchasing/using a Firestick. Mostly all IPTVs are compatible with that device.
Whether it’s this review or any IPTV service review, I generally use my Firestick. You can connect the NVIDIA Shield if you want but I would choose the Firestick.

Setup Installation Not Hard to Do
If you have a compatible streaming device with a web browser that you can download apps from the Internet, then you can do the following. Go to the Google Player Store or Apple Play Store to download/install the SO Player app.
If you want to use a compatible streaming device that has an internal app store, you can download/install the SO Player app from within.
As for the LG smart TV with an internal app store, you can do the same thing and install it. If you have a Samsung smart TV, you should check the internal app store anyway. SO Player wasn’t available but may show up again.
For Fire TV and Firestick users, like me, there are extra steps and downloads to complete. I made this process easy to follow when watching a video on how to install Jamzone SO Player on Firestick.
I reviewed many IPTV services over the years. Some were not as easy to set up but this one is not one of them. Once the installation setup is completed, you simply enter the activation/login credentials. You get them via email from Jamzone IPTV and use them to activate the app to watch TV online. That’s it!
Jamzone SOPlayer & Activation
SOPlayer is the supported app that’s free to download but Jamzone isn’t the only IPTV service that supports this app. Once you install it on your compatible device, Jamzone SOPlayer must be activated. You get the activation/login credentials when subscribing to the IPTV service which in this case is Jamzone TV. If you have an Amazon Firestick or Fire TV device, watch the video on how to install it.
When the app is activated, you then get access to all the streaming TV/VOD content inside the TV player. Just keep in mind that no app delivers any streaming content on its own, it comes directly from the IPTV service. So if you think something is wrong with the app when channels and/or VODs are not working, think IPTV service instead. Just go back to the IPTV website (Jamzone) to get support.
Streaming Content (Live Channels & VODs)
If you like having all your live channels and VODs in one place conveniently organized in categories and sub-categories, then you will enjoy using Jamzone TV. You simply let your eyes take you where to go when looking at the various categories such as TV, Movies (incl. TV Series), and EPG (TV Guide).
When you select the TV category, it opens with the following sub-categories:
ALL, USA, News, US Locals, Sports, Kids, UK, Canada, Spanish, French, Filipino (3 channels only), Adult
Open any one of those sub-categories and you will see a host of channels. Simply click any one of them to watch online. I tested many of these channels and most of them worked. The picture quality was crystal clear which looked HD 1080p. I’m not sure if there are any FHD, 4K, and 8K streams.
The on-demand section is the Movies category which also has TV series. You get a host of VODs. Here’s a breakdown of the sub-categories:
Last Added, New Releases, TV Shows, all the genres sections, UFC Replay, NFL Replay, plus more
When selecting to play a VOD, you can also Add to Favorites. I wish this feature was available for live channels. As I went further into my Jamzone TV review, I came across one movie that had SD quality. Not as clear as the HD streams. You will find all the movie genres and TV series with seasons and episodes.

EPG (Electronic Programming Guide) – TV Guide
The Jamzone SOPlayer EPG is more than just a TV guide. You can program the guide to load a specific sub-category of live channels. These are the same sub-categories of channels as listed above. When I selected the USA sub-category, it loaded all those channels in the TV guide instantly.
When I selected Sports, it loaded all the sports channels in the EPG TV guide quickly. The TV guide lists the names of TV networks with TV program descriptions under their respective time slots. You can click any TV program and click it again to play it. You can watch the video HERE to see everything in action.
Free Trial, Subscription & Support
Jamzone IPTV gets another thumbs up. They provide a free trial that lets you test their service for 3 days (72 hours). You are not required to use your credit card upfront. There are also two subscription plans. I broke everything down for you below:
- 3-Day Free Trial: $0 cost (said to have limited access) ** Discontinued
- 1-Month, 4 Device Connections at one time: $24.99
- 3-Month, 5 Device Connections simultaneously: $68.55 (incl. Monthly Drawings)
NOTE: I’m not sure about the monthly drawings. I’ll leave that up to you to ask them. It may have something to do with getting a freebie or discount. I’m just guessing.
There is no automatic or recurring billing. When your subscription ends, you decide whether to renew the subscription or not. To renew, you simply revisit the JamzoneTV website to pay the subscription again. You can pay the one-month or 3-month and switch between the two anytime you like.
Watch the Jamzon review video HERE to see how to sign up for the trial or subscription.

Money-Back Guarantee/Refund
It’s unclear how many days you are given to request a refund, so you might want to contact customer service. I would enter into the free trial first to see if your favorite channels are available and working. Then contact them about the refund policy before paying the subscription if you want.
I would prefer them to include a written refund policy on their website. When making a refund request and you don’t receive a response in a couple of hours, just open an active chat and their team will make sure it gets handled.
Pros & Cons
Here are the upsides and downsides that I provided after conducting my review of this IPTV service. The upsides do outweigh the downsides. If it were reversed, this written review would be non-existent.
PROS
The good news here is that the Jamzone SOPlayer IPTV Pros outnumber the Cons. I made a list of these in the star-rated review further up. You can review them to help make a decision. You will enjoy watching the live channels which include premium channels. The same for watching VOD movies and TV series. There’s plenty that will entertain the entire family.
You get everything under one roof sort of speak with easy access to whatever it is that interests you. The Search tool will also come in handy, especially when searching for your local channels. Simply enter your city’s name to search. If there are any channels, they will appear instantly.
Whether you are into movies or sports, news or TV series, Jamzone TV delivers, and more. The low cost gives you savings that can be put towards getting more Internet connection speed. Recently, Comcast gave me an increase in speed from 400 Mbps to 600 Mbps. I pay around $156.00 per month for Internet and Phone but don’t use their TV subscription. I canceled that years ago and you can do the save.
CONS
What you need to understand is you can only connect one smartphone to watch TV online when traveling. So if you travel a lot and are expecting to use the Jamzone IPTV service, you will be disappointed when only able to use a smartphone.
Another noticeable downside is you cannot share your Jamzone SOPlayer IPTV account with an individual from another household (different IP address). Your IP is locked into the IPTV service and app installed on your device. Again, you can read the list of Cons further up to help decide if you want to use this service.
There are several video tutorials that you won’t find in other Jamzone reviews out there. I break everything down to help you make a well-informed decision. Should consistent buffering occur for certain channels, in most cases this comes from your end. You can watch a video on How to Stop IPTV Buffering for Firestick Here. Or, search for a video for your device on YouTube.com.
Conclusion
I would not have written this Jamzone IPTV review if the service was crap. You don’t need to trust what I say but I hope you do. The free trial is a no-brainer to test everything on your end. No money is required. If you like what you see in the videos, you may want to go with one of the subscription plans outright.
If not, find another IPTV service. Feel free to use the chatbox to contact us about other IPTVs.
But for what it’s worth, there’s a lot of streaming content available for a low price. If this works for you, no doubt you’ll have the entertainment you want. I give this IPTV service a thumbs up and recommend using it for the entire family. Keep in mind that adult content is locked by default and can be unlocked.
The Jamzone SOPlayer IPTV service is also great for newbies, those who are as savvy. Once you get past completing the setup, you are home free. Feel free to sign up to get the Free IPTV Setup Guide. It can be of great help to you to avoid making mistakes or getting confused.
