Satellite TV for PC Elite Edition Review – This software just might be the thing you’re looking for if ready for Web TV and want to streamline tons of Internet TV channels and other free media so that you can watch everything from one location. Satellite TV for PC 2011 Elite will help set everything up on your computer, quick and easy, while saving you time. In other words, there’s no need to surf the Internet to find free content on your own.

Even though the video review above covers the 2010 software version, it still gives a heads up to what the Elite 2011 version brings.

Satellite TV for PC Elite Edition Review – Web-Based Browser and TV Software and

To put an end to any confusion that might be lingering in your mind, first understand that legal Internet TV software applications (or whatever brand name they are called) don’t deliver paid premium Satellite/Cable TV channels to your computer. At best, these services will help deliver the next best thing.

This misleading information is often coupled with many false Satellite TV for PC reviews out there telling you about HD quality channels but don’t tell you to expect only good to very good picture quality, among other things.

Some say these products/services are all scams and don’t deliver the goods. But what I found is beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In other words, its a matter of ones need, taste, and realistic expectation. As long as you don’t put high emphasis on wanting HD and paid TV channels to watch on your computer, then this product just might work for you.

When using the Satellite TV for PC Elite software you’ll see how streamlining and organizing the delivery of 1000s of live and on-demand channels takes effect, which is one of the key elements to creating a Web TV computer system instantly. Not only that but helps bring everything together within your fingertips and keeps you in one location most of the time when watching your favorite sports, movies, TV shows/episodes, etc.

The benefit here has more to do with helping the end-user save time initially when compared to surfing the web to find free channels/videos or not knowing where to begin. As a result, paying for a service that can help provide instant setup and access to tons of worldwide channels is exactly what the SatelliteSoft service has done.

Our Satellite TV for PC Elite Edition Review reveals what you can expect from this service/product and will assist you in determining whether or not this product/service is the right source to get free legal media content you want on your computer (in the easiest, quickest way possible).

If you are looking for savings compared to the high cost of Cable and Satellite subscription services, the Satellite TV for PC Elite software service requires a small one-time fee. In many cases, it delivers better programming than regular television.

So if you are someone that works and/or plays on your computer a lot or someone who’s always on-the-go, this Satellite TV for PC Elite application could be something you want on your desktop or laptop.

In this Satellite TV for PC Elite Edition Review, we’ll explore the pros and cons, and what we truly think of this software package and the service so that you can make your own decision whether or not to buy in to this service.

Satellite TV for PC Elite Edition – Lifetime Membership Package

After paying the one time fee of $49.95 USD, you get access to the member’s area where you download different types of media software applications. Although there is no additional license fee, you are only allowed to install this software up to three different computers.

Software and Lifetime Membership Package Includes…

  • Tech support whenever help is needed
  • Software upgrades to keep like new
  • Channel updates to keep up with the Internet
  • Bonuses including DVD/CD burning software
  • PC Satellite TV player to watch channels online
  • Web TV browser to watch on-demand shows, episodes, etc.
  • Several important free software applications/plugins that play all types of media files
  • Several extra media players that connect you to additional movies, sports, live and on-demand television online, and not forgetting videos and radio

What you have here is an instant setup with all the resources and popular Web TV sites included, so that you don’t have to surf the web for anything online — everything is delivered right to you instead.

However, the argument has been why pay when you can get it all for nothing. And rightly so, one has to think about this before making a purchase. If you have plenty time on your hands and consider yourself a do-it-yourselfer and you rather hand select what interest you media-wise, then the obvious answer is don’t buy this software.

Satellite TV for PC Elite Edition Review: 3 Ways to Watch Internet TV

What’s particularly nice about this service is that it doesn’t give you just one method to watch television and videos online. The 2011 Web TV version is now three-fold:

  1. Downloading the PC Satellite TV player delivers over 3,600 channels and radio stations worldwide. Although this player like all the others (free or paid) doesn’t live in a perfect world, you will get access to free media that helps you find everything by genre and country
  2. Downloading the Web TV Browser allows you watch favorite shows online that come from many popular websites where normally you will go to watch a show. The benefit here is rather than visit each website to watch a particular channel (no one site has all your favorite channels), you can view mostly everything from one browser. This keeps you in one location and eliminates having to save links to media website somewhere on your computer — this is the old fashion way
  3. In addition to #1 and #2, you can also watch free media from your favorite browser from any computer worldwide, not just your own. The member’s area allows you to watch programs without downloading anything, unless of course a particular plugin for your computer is needed

Satellite TV for PC Elite Review: Quality & Overall Performance

Web TV Browser. Here’s a nice addition that will help offset some of the issues common to TV players (channel choosers). When opening the browser this automatically loads all the pre-loaded TV, Apps, Stream, Video, and Radio media.

Without knowing the actual count, there are plenty of free media to watch. Selecting the media is quite simple as the browser list everything by Type, Category, Language, Favorites, Rating, My Rating, Detail, and Featured — so there‘s no difficulty whatsoever in finding what you want to see or listen to.

Once again, many popular Web television sites are available here so you don’t have to surf online for anything, let alone save links to your computer.

Here’s a screenshot of the Satellite TV for PC Elite browser to get a general idea what it looks like and the feature enhancements – just click the image to enlarge it…

Satellite TV for PC Elite Edition Review

You can watch episodes, shows, sitcoms, movies, news, Youtube and many other types of free media easily from within the browser. There are many easy ways to find the media you want.

At the top of the Satellite TV for PC Elite browser, there are many icons such as All Content, TV, Streams, Videos, Radio, Apps, Favorites, Featured, Add Content, Update, and Settings.

Settings allow you to download free plugins to your computer that might be needed to play different types of free media, such as Quicktime Player, Windows Media Player, and RealPlayer (usually you are automatically prompted if missing one of these).

The interfacing is quick and smooth with a well organized platform that allows maneuvering through the browser quite easily and without instructions. The live, on-demand, and HDTV channels/videos displays rather quickly as the browser connects you to the free media you choose.

In our Satellite TV for PC Elite Edition Review, we gave this method of watching television online a big thumbs up because you have many feature enhancements available and can do everything you want from one location pretty much. The ease of use and interfacing is also very good and you can personalize the browser by adding your own favorite media sources to it.

Honestly, the picture/video quality is a lot better for the browser than the TV player and good enough when connecting your super Web TV computer to a television.

No matter what country you are from or language you speak, there’s something there for mostly everyone. Above the icons in the browser, you have Languages that allow you to change to English or any one of the many languages available. In fact, you can even Check for Updates and Add a Translation. This only shows the power and flexibility of the browser that certainly makes watching web TV both fun and exciting.

PC Satellite TV Player. Further along in our Satellite TV for PC Elite review of this player, we found the look and feel, ease of use, and organization of the free media by Channel, Category, Type, etc., appealing. Even the icons that sit at the top of the channel chooser are helpful such as, TV/Radio, Radio/Music, YouTube, Favorites, My Files, and Updates.

Satellite TV for PC Elite Edition Review

You can also change languages as well as update and add new channels just like the Web TV browser. However, as mentioned earlier, there are some common issues that exist with these types of TV players.

It doesn’t matter how popular a paid PC Satellite TV software package is, when a TV player is included you must deal with some of the downsides. This includes channels coming and going at times, due to temporary down times by providers that own them, broken channel links occurring once in a while, and some blurred and ’choppy’ picture/video.

The good news is that you have feature enhancements that can correct some of these issues such as, updating channels that automatically add new ones while getting rid of broken links. You can also report a broken link as well. There’s also a feature that allows you to add your own channels from the web.

Channel/Video Playback. With all the thousands of different channel links and programs included in the player, one might think it’s overwhelming. Well that depends on what country/language you may be interested in watching channels from.

Fact is when selecting a country it will either have more or less programs available, and there’s no way to know for sure how many channels are actually available per country — prior to making a purchase.

Not only that, but many of these top TV players do cater more to English speaking consumers, so there is a tendency to have more of those channels than non-English ones. However, that is not to say that you won’t find many channels from a given country, it’s just that you won’t find as many. Still, you can always surf the web to find channels in your own language and save them in the Satellite TV for PC Elite player.

During our Satellite TV for PC Elite Edition review and testing, we selected channels to see if (and how well) they played. When going though the list and selecting them one at a time, we can honestly say that some channels didn’t play and some did. However, we didn’t go through the thousands that are offered.

You will see the loading, buffering and the source name on the screen inside the player, as well as a window that pops up telling you it couldn‘t play the channel. At least that keeps you from sitting there like a knot on a log waiting for media to play. In a short time, you’ll know whether or not the program will play.

All in all, the TV player gets less praise than the browser software, but again you do have the option to add your own channels. There are many channels to explore and add/save your to favorites, you just have to find them online.

Something else worth noting, when combining the number of channels, videos and radio stations included in the Web TV player along with the browser and other media software applications included in the package, you get an overwhelming amount of free media. The total combined is actually well over the 3,600 channels as advertised, so you actually get more for the price offered.

Receiving HD channels from the TV player is a bit over-hyped, at best you can get good to very good picture/video quality depending on the source where the channel comes from. At time, there will be some occasional blurriness and ’choppy’ videos which some of this be related to low Internet connection speed.

It’s recommended to have a broadband Internet connection and higher the speed better the picture quality and overall performance. So keep that in mind when making sure your computer meets all system requirements. Also, take a look at our “Help Section” and what falls below it under “Menu” in the right column.

By now, you probably can tell from our Satellite TV for PC Elite Edition review of this software service that it offers a potent package. Someone new to web television can benefit when wanting a quick, easy setup that gets them the best of online entertainment, and creating their own super computer Internet TV system via desktop or laptop.

There are plenty of perks here that we believe the pros outweigh the cons. After testing this product/service, we found it to be scam-free, risk-free, legal and safe. However, the over-hype content, myths and some scam reports that circles these products can make anyone stand clear of them.

Keep in mind also that SatelliteSoft made an upgrade that improved the software and overall package, so when researching this further you’ll want to look up the current year for the new and improved product — not the old versions.

Whether you trust this Satellite TV for PC Elite Review or not, we provide resources, materials, video demos, and other important information on this site to help you more.

You might want to test a free trial software on your computer first to see if a software-to-computer incompatibility issue occurs before spending any money. You should also review system requirements, prepare your computer for downloading Internet TV software, and review the Help Section (see right column).

Satellite TV for PC Review: Pros and Cons

3/5 Stars: TV Player Software – There are channels, out of thousands, that don’t play — due to temporary down times. You will have to try to play them at a later time, unless those links are broken.

While there are some feature enhancements to update channels and add your own, the player doesn’t get as high of a billing than the browser software. Even though you will experience some occasional picture/video blurriness and ‘choppy‘ video, it’s still viewable.

There are some benefits to using the player, if using it as another option to Web television.

5/5 Stars: Browser TV Software – Here’s where the real action is entertainment-wise. Not only that, but the ease of use and maneuverability, interfacing, look and feel, picture/video quality, media selections, and feature enhancements are a delight.

Having the ability to watch what you want, when you want, from any location in or out of your home, as well as watching everything from one location, speaks volumes when it comes to eliminating time and effort surfing the web, saving channels to a computer, not knowing what to look for or where to start.

5/5 Stars: Bonuses – With these perks, you get more bang for the buck. There are several media players (free software) included that connects to popular Web TV sites to watch live sports and shows, movies, and the list goes on.

These bonuses enhance more free TV/video/radio media, while providing the best of free entertainment online. With the addition of other free software to burn videos to CD/DVDs and upload to an iPod, security software, etc., offers more ways to enjoy the next best thing to Satellite and Cable.

However, you will have to keep in mind these bonus products along with the main TV player and browser tend to eat up a lot of free hard drive space — upwards of 200MB (your computer might have a few of these media players already, like Windows Media Player).

4/5 Stars: Lifetime Membership – When paying the small one-time fee, it includes a lifetime membership with software upgrades, tech support, channel updates, etc. Since history has shown that most of these services don’t have perfect track records, the one letdown here might be waiting for a response from tech support concerning your email inquires — it can take 2-3 business days.

Also, when furthering our Satellite TV for PC Elite Edition Review of SatelliteSoft’s website, where the Elite is found, there is no ‘Contact’ link available on site for visitors to inquire about the service, software, etc. So there’s no way to ask questions, unless of course you buy the membership — which than you have access to support.

5/5 Stars: Pricing – Because you get more bang for the buck without having to do any work, meaning you just download and install then sit back and enjoy, we think the pricing is well worth the investment.

How this is valued really depends on you of course, but for under $50 USD (one-time fee) that’s a good trade off from spending time surfing the web for free media (including hard to find channels) and for a quick setup that could very well give you up to 10,000 or more channels instantly.

5/5 Stars: Iron-Clad Money Back Guarantee – One of the main things to consider if investing in one of these products/services is getting some assurance that you will get your money back with a no questions asked policy.

Here you have two choices to make a payment, through Clickbank or PayPal. Both are highly reputable retail sales/refunds’ processors that once you make a payment through either one, you have up to 60 days to request a refund if something goes wrong. That’s mean you don’t to the merchant such as SatelliteSoft, the owner of the software, to request a full refund.

5/5 Stars: Ease of Use/Userability – As they say, there’s more ways than one to skin a cat. Beside the quick and easy access to favorite online programming from a Web TV player and browser, you also get access to media directly through the member’s area, once you become a paid member.

For instance, Step #2: Start Streaming Live TV offers Option 1, allows you to watch Live TV directly in your current web browser, and there’s also Option 2 – Watch Stream Live Sports, Movies, Music. This is one of the many perks that actually allow you to watch shows online from any browser and compatible computer, so long as there is a wireless or broadband connection. You are not confined to just one method of watching free media online.

4/5 Stars: Compatibility – The Satellite TV for PC Elite is now said to be compatible to MAC computers and there’s a specific download link for those machines. However, this MAC-ready PC Satellite TV software application like other similar products out there may or may not work properly, if at all, once it’s downloaded.

You can blame it on the software itself or the computer, but either way a problem can occur. This downside may be corrected when downloading third party software that will allow you to run mostly all Windows applications on a MAC, including the SatelliteDirect software supposedly. However, this will come at an additional cost to you (See “Resources” below).
